Academic Support

Our Academic Center Team works with our students who have mild learning differences. A Learning Specialist at each school level coordinates academic services, assists with evaluation referrals, and collaborates with teachers to provide basic classroom accommodations. At CAK, we accommodate students with mild learning differences but do not modify our curriculum. Our Academic Center Team will analyze evaluation results, recommendations from teachers, and information from families to determine the appropriate accommodations for individual students.

Preschool

Our preschool program supports our families as students begin their developmental journeys. Our elementary academic center supports our preschool teachers with recommendations for the youngest Warriors.

Elementary School

For elementary students, the level of support is dependent upon the individual needs of each student. We offer:

Two levels of pull-out reading intervention
Student Learning Profile (SLP) services with academic accommodations for students with a clinical diagnosis.
ELA and Math Learning Labs for 5th grade
Enrichment in reading for advanced students
Private Tutoring (at an additional cost)

Middle School

Students needing additional support in the middle school may be offered:

At the high school level, for students who need additional support, we offer:

Student Learning Profile (SLP) services with academic accommodations for students with a clinical diagnosis.
The English Writing lab gives assistance with writing papers, college applications, and English class support.

Math/chemistry lab is open during study hall for any student needing additional support
