Christian Academy of Knoxville's preschool is a full-day program preparing students for Kindergarten in a fun, safe, Christian environment with both academic and play-based learning! CAK offers several preschool options. Students interested in the PreK option must be 4 years old by August 15. Students interested in the Junior K option must be 4 years old by March 31.

The CAK Preschool Difference
CAK's preschool focuses on structured learning through play, projects, technology, nature, and enrichment through in-school field trips (Zoo Knoxville), Spanish, Music, Art, and physical education.
School uniforms are required at CAK and can be purchased through Lands End, Tommy Hilfiger, or My APlus Uniforms. There is also a school spirit store, CAK Outfitters, that offers outerwear and other fun items.
CAK offers both a Pre-K program as well as a Junior K program. Results of the Gesell Developmental Observation are used in consideration of student placement.

Pre-K (5 Day Program)
Students must be four years old by August 15. Students meet five days a week.
PreK focuses on a pre-writing curriculum, including letter formation (Zaner-Bloser), developing a strong sense of numbers using interactive learning and manipulatives, and building social-emotional intelligence and strong cooperation skills. PreK also develops early literacy skills such as phonemic awareness through pre-reading activities. -
Junior K (5 Day Program)
Students must be 4 years old by March 31. Junior K serves as a year-long half step between Pre-K and Kindergarten and is offered 5 days a week (Monday - Friday). This program allows children to gain an extra year of growth before entering Kindergarten.
Junior K follows a similar schedule and format to a regular kindergarten day. Creativity and curiosity are embedded in structured classroom activities. We use the OWL curriculum, which introduces students to core literacy, math, science, and social studies standards. Structured learning through play, projects, and nature the foundation of this class.
Afterschool Childcare
Preschool classes are a full instructional day, 8:00 am - 2:40 pm. We offer Aftercare until 5:45 pm.

Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 5:45 pm
